Five journalists killed in Israeli strike on Gaza
Five journalists of Al Quds Today TV channel were killed when their vehicle was hit by an Israeli strike, the channel said in a statement on Thursday.
News Center- Five journalists of Al Quds Today TV channel, a Gaza-based channel, were killed when their live broadcast vehicle was hit by an Israeli strike near al-Awda Hospital in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp., the channel said in a statement on Thursday.
The journalists are identified as Fadi Hasouna, Ibrahim al-Sheikh Ali, Mohammed al-Lad’aa, Faisal Abu al-Qumsan, and Ayman al-Jadi.
201 journalists killed in Gaza since October 2023
The killing of five journalists brings the death toll of journalists killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023 to 201, the Government Media Office in Gaza said in a statement, calling on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists and all journalists’ organizations to strongly condemn Israel for targeting, killing and committing crimes against Palestinian journalists.”
In the statement, the media office accused Israel, the United States and its allies, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, of being responsible for “this heinous and brutal crime.”
The statement urged the international community, international organizations, and press organizations to denounce these acts to put an end to the ongoing violence against journalists, and hold Israel accountable in international courts.
