Stating that the aim of the ongoing attacks is to annihilate the Kurdish people, Mihemed Henan said, “The Turkish state continues to attack the Media Defense Zones and target the guerrillas. Although it uses chemical weapons every day, it has been defeated. The occupying Turkish state targets the civilians in North and East Syria to cover up its defeat. The attacks on Tell Rifaat prove the bankruptcy of the policies of the Turkish state.”
“Women are targeted”
Hêvîn Mihemed, a coordinating member of Kongra Star in the Afrin Canton, emphasized that women are targeted in the attacks carried out by the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions. “They want to break the will of women because the revolution in Rojava was led by women.”
