Call from Emine Şenyaşar to bar associations: “Don’t keep silent against this cruelty”

Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have held a protest demanding justice for their killed relatives for 64 days. Today, the family posted a tweet to call on bar associations, “Don’t keep silent against this cruelty inflicted using laws,” says the tweet.

 

Riha – Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP Ibrahim Halil Yıldız in Suruç district of Urfa province just before the general elections took place in Turkey on June 24, 2018, has held a protest with her son Ferit Şenyaşar demanding justice for their killed relatives since March 9. The Şenyaşar family has held their protest at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic full lockdown imposed across Turkey.

Today, the family posted a tweet and said, “On the 64th day of our struggle for justice, we call on all “democratic forces” and “bar associations; don’t keep silent against this cruelty inflicted using laws. Let’s break the political pressure on law together.”
