Baha’i actress Paria Marandiz released on bail

Paria Marandiz, a Baha’i actress, was released on bail of 3.5 billion Tomans pending her trial following an investigation session held against her in Tehran on Saturday.

News Center- An investigation session was held at Branch 3 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office, in Tehran's Evin prison, against Baha’i actress Paria Marandiz, on Saturday.

During the session, Paria Marandiz defended herself against the charges of “propaganda against the regime,” “propaganda in support of Israel” and “insulting sacred beliefs.” At the end of the session, she was released after paying a bail of 3.5 billion Tomans.

Paria Marandiz was arrested by Iran’s security forces on June 17, 2025. At the same time, security forces raided her home, confiscated her belongings, including books, laptops and mobile phones. After being held in custody for a while, she was released.

Previously, she had been summoned and interrogated by the Ministry of Intelligence four times; two times in June 2025 and two times in July 2025.
