Afghan women protest Taliban

Afghan women took to the streets to protest the Taliban. They declared that they are ready to fight on the frontline of resistance. Asal Parsi, an Afghan civil rights activist, called on women all around the world to not leave them alone and asked the women of western Kurdistan to show them how to fight.

News Center- Afghan women held protests in many cities of Afghanistan. The Taliban militants attacked many women during the protests, some women were wounded. Asal Parsi, an Afghan civil rights activist, spoke to our news agency about the ongoing women’s protests in the country and the attacks of the Taliban.

Asal Parsi indicated that Afghan women take to the streets to demand their rights to education and make decisions. “The Taliban militants attacked women by using tear gas.” She also talked about a women’s coalition formed in 34 cities of Afghanistan. “Women formed a coalition. However, women have held protests in only three cities until now. We hope that women living in the other cities will join this coalition and do what they have to. A group of 200 women in Takhar province joined the coalition and they stated that they are ready to fight for Afghan resistance front.”

“Women’s unity should be extended”

“We will be 100% successful, if women organize themselves,” Asal Parsi demanded women and people of Afghanistan to stand against the Taliban. “Women should extend their unity to take their rights.”

Call on women

Asal Parsi called on all women around the world to support Afghan women. “All we want from women is to not leave Afghan women alone because Afghan women raise their voices despite all challenges. They are ready to fight the Taliban. The women of western Kurdistan have experiences with fighting. We ask them to support us. They organized themselves and fought ISIS. We believe that they will support us and show us how to fight.”

Asal Parsi told us that Afghan people need food and medicines.
