On the 144th day of the protest, Ferit Şenyaşar holds the protest alone because Emine Şenyaşar went to Elazığ province to visit her son Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been held in a single cell of the Elazığ Prison for three years.

“Justice for everyone”

Ferit Şenyaşar holding a placard reading, “A mother has held a sit-in protest in front of the Şanlıurfa Courthouse demanding justice for 144 days. Her husband and two sons were killed at the hospital. No lawsuit has been opened because a member of parliament was involved in the massacre,” demanded justice again.

“Our protest for justice is on its 144th day. Today, I hold the protest alone because my mother went to visit my brother, who has been unlawfully held in a single cell for three years. It is the judiciary recess period in Turkey. The prosecutors are on holiday while we are holding a sit-in protest here. Justice is one of the most important fundamental values for a state. Justice has no working hours or holidays. There are millions of victims like us. The prosecutors and judges should first deliver justice then go on holiday. We demand justice for everyone,” Ferit Şenyaşar said.
