Şenyaşar family’s protest enters its 59th day: This superiority is not permanent
Emine Şenyaşar and Ferit Şenyaşar have kept holding their protest demanding justice for their killed relatives. “This superiority is not permanent” said the family on their social media account.
Riha- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP Ibrahim Halil Yıldız in Suruç district of Urfa province just before the general elections held in Turkey on June 24, 2018, has held a sit-in protest with her son Ferit Şenyaşar at home, instead of in front of Urfa Courthouse due to full lockdown imposed across Turkey.
The Şenyaşar family has demanded justice for 59 days without receiving an answer. The family posted a tweet today. In the tweet, they thanked the delegation consisting of representatives, co-chairs of Human Rights Association (IHD) Mersin, Diyarbakır, Antep and Urfa branches and said, “We will not remain silent against the judicial system protecting superiors. This superiority is not permanent.”
