4 women activists killed in Afghanistan!

Bodies of four women activists, who had been shot to death, were found in the city of Mazār-i-Sharīf, Afghanistan. One of the victims, Forouzan Safi, was a university professor.

Kabul- The bodies of four Afghan activist women, who had been shot to death, were found in a hole near the Khalid Ibn al-Walid township of Mazar-e-Sharif. One of the dead bodies has been identified as 30-year-old Forouzan Safi, a university professor, and civil society activist.

Friends of Forouzan Safi told NuJINHA that Forouzan Safi had gone missing about a week ago. “Actually, we thought she might have gone abroad. She hadn’t made any contact with us. But her dead body was found in a hole.”

“She was an active and brave woman”

“She was an active and brave woman. She attended every protest in Mazār-i-Sharīf. She never bowed to the practices of the Taliban,” one of Forouzan Safi’s friends told us. Her friends think she was killed by the Taliban.

The bodies of three women haven’t been identified yet. The Taliban hasn’t reportedly made a statement on the incident.
