Women of CHP to travel 81 cities for Istanbul Convention
Members of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Women’s Branches will travel 82 cities of Turkey within the scope of the “Life Right" project realized to combat violence against women.
News Center- Republican People's Party (CHP) Women's Branch Chair Aylin Nazlıaka held a statement for the press in front of the party headquarters in Ankara before departure of the bus that will travel Turkey’s 81 provinces within the scope of the "Life Right" project initiated by CHP Women's Branches to combat violence against women.
Aylin Nazlıaka pointed out that after the decision to withdraw from the Istanbul Convention, they speed their works up about violence against women and she said that they will travel 81 cities by a bus named after the project “LifeRight”.
“We will travel city by city, district by district, neighborhood by neighborhood, and street by street, and we will unite our hearts with our citizens’ hearts within the scope of combating violence against women. We will tell our sisters about their rights and we will tell them, ‘you are not alone, we are here’ within the scope of the project,” Aylin Nazlıaka said that they will also talk to academics and representatives of the local authorities and NGOs. She also said they would keep struggling for the implementation of the Istanbul Convention.
