Members of commission on investigation of violence against women announced
The members of Turkey’s Parliamentary Investigation Commission formed to investigate violence against women have been announced in the Official Gazette.
News Center- The members of Turkey’s Parliamentary Investigation Commission formed to “determine the measures to prevent violence against women by investigating all reasons of violence” have been announced. The names of the members have been published in the Official Gazette.
The members of the commission are as follows;
Vice President of the commission: Justice and Development Party (AKP) MP Tuba Vural Çokal.
Spokesperson of the commission: Justice and Development Party (AKP) MP Çiğdem Erdoğan Atabek.
Clerk of the commission: Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) MP Esin Kara.
Other members of the commission; AKP MPs Mehmet Şükrü Erdinç, Pakize Mutlu Aydemir, Nilgün Gök, Mahmut Atilla Kaya, Habibe Öcal, Hacı Ahmet Özdemir, Yelda Erol Gökcan; Republican People's Party (CHP) MPs Gamze Taşçıer, Aysun Baknoğlu, Suzan Şahin, Neslihan Hancıoğlu; Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) MP Hayati Arkaz; Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MPs Filiz Kesterecioğlu and Semra Güzel; İYİ Party MP Şenol Sunat.
The commission will work for three months at the first stage. After three months, the members of the commission will prepare a report.
