News Center- Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment against musician Dilan Demir on charges of “being a member of a terrorist organization” based on statements of anonymous witnesses. The indictment was accepted and a trial was opened against Dilan Demir by the Mersin 2^nd High Criminal Court. The final hearing of the trial was held by the court yesterday (October 12). Dilan Demir didn’t attend the hearing.

Dilan Demir’s lawyer Sabahat Gençtarih attended the hearing. The lawyer stated that her client is innocent and that the statements of anonymous witnesses don’t reflect the truth and she demanded the release of Dilan Demir. The prosecution demanded Dilan Demir be sentenced in prison on charges of “being a member of a terrorist organization” based on the statements of anonymous witnesses. The court has sentenced musician Dilan Demir to nine years in prison based on the statements of anonymous witnesses.
