Hearing in Narin Güran murder case postponed to April 25
The hearing in the Narin Güran murder case was held on Tuesday. At the hearing, the testimony process of 15 defendants was completed. The next hearing will be held on April 25.

News Center- 8-year-old Narin Güran went missing in the Çûlî (Tavşantepe) village of Amed’s Rezan (Bağlar) district on August 21, 2024. Her dead body was found in a sack in a stream near her home on September 8, after 19 days.
On December 28, 2024, Narin Güran’s uncle Salim Güran, her mother Yüksel Güran and her brother Enes Güran were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment on charges of “deliberate murder of a child in complicity”. Narin Güran’s neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to four years and six months in prison on charges of “altering, destroying, and concealing evidence of a crime”.
Three children also stood trial in the Narin Güran murder case. The first hearing of this trial was scheduled to be held on March 20 at the Diyarbakır 2nd Juvenile Court. However, this trial was merged with the other trial. The perpetrators, their families and their lawyers attended the hearing closed to the press.
At the hearing, the testimony process of 15 defendants was completed. The lawyers of defendants demanded the acquittal of their clients while the prosecutor demanded prison sentence against the defendants. The court ruled the perpetrators held in pretrial detention to remain in prison and postponed the hearing to April 25, 2025.
