Dr. Ellen Ochoa is the first Hispanic female astronaut and researcher working for NASA. She invented “Optical Analysis Systems” that pave the way for robotic technology in product manufacture. Her invention was used for quality control in the manufacturing of various intricate parts. She patented the optical analysis system. She is a co-inventor on three patents for an optical inspection system.
