The Yedigöller (Seven lakes) National Park is located in the northern part of Bolu province in Turkey. Although it is one of the regions that preserves its natural beauty, it is also a region where hundreds of trees were cut down for the construction of an 11-kilometer highway. The park is located at an elevation of 900 meters in the Mengen district in the north of Bolu Province and to the south of Zonguldak in the western Black Sea region. It encompasses an area of 1,623 hectares. The national park is close to Ankara and Istanbul so the people living in these cities prefer to spend their weekends, holidays there.
