Turkish attacks cause a deep wounds for women in NE Syria

Northern Syria / ALhasakah-Yazi Ahmad talks about the ongoing attacks and the effects of being forcibly displaced.
Living in Almanajir village of Sari Kannih( Ras Alain), Yazi Ahmad is one of the women facing interior displacement in Syria because her village has been attacked since the beginning of the Syrian civil war. Her son is a martyr of the resistance in NE Syria.
We had a safe life with Kurds.
Yazi Ahmad (42) was born and grew up in Almufti quarter of ALhasakah, where Kurdish and Arab people lived together, and they had a good and strong relationship which became stronger with intermarriage.
"In 1996, I was 19 years old. I was married to Ahmad Al-Essa, resident of Almanajir village, where is about 15km away from Sari kannih( Ras Alain). I have five daughters and two sons, my eldest son Osama was a martyr in 2017 during the last battle against ISIS (Daesh) to liberate Raqqa city and its countryside,” said Yazi.
Ongoing attacks and displacement
Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war, all regions in the country have been unstable, especially in NE Syria.  The Turkish-backed Free army (Aljesh Alhur) began to dominate Sari kannih (Ras AL-Ain) in 2012, the people didn’t accept them and YPJ forces were able to kick them out of the region.
At the end of January 2014, ISIS (Daesh) detonated a car bomb to terrorize people. Therefore, Yazi, like other residents decided to leave her house and go to the AL-safah town and then to Sari kannih ( Ras Al-Ain).Despite the ongoing clashes between YPJ forces and mercenaries members, Yazi returned to her house with her family, but when the clashes targeting civilians increased, she was forcibly displaced several times, she went to AL-Hassakah and stayed there for a month, then she went to Tall Tamr, then she was forcibly displaced to AL-qahtaniyah where her sister lived in and stayed there for a week, but every time she returned to her home.
The last displacement
The ongoing attacks on NE Syria by terrorist factions led to the displacement of thousands of civilians.  Then, Turkey decided to interfere in the Syrian crisis after its repeated threats to invade the region under the pretext of protecting its national security, but its real goal was to bring the region under their domination and to spread chaos and sectarianism and to strike peaceful coexistence between people.
Turkey launched a terrorist operation on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 9, 2019, using its mercenaries, the Free Army (Aljesh Alhur), AL-Nusra and ISIS (DAESH) listed on the international terrorism list.
Yazi continues to talk about those days as follows, "We were surprised by those attacks and remained under bombardment for five days, then we were forcibly displaced to AL-Hassakah and headed to the council of the Martyrs families to secure housing for us, we went to Rasho (marriage hall )and  then they transferred us to the Mahmoud Naief School located in Tal Hajar, this school is one of the shelters that were opened in several quarters in AL-Hassakah to accommodate the refugees, until the aggression ends".
Yazi and her family suffered a lot in the winter. There weren’t enough blankets and more than one family cooked and slept together in a room. "If we decided to go out there weren’t any houses for rent or the rent prices were very expensive, we couldn’t pay the rent because of our difficult situation. But the organizations and self-administration introduced some assistants for us there and there was great care for martyrs' families and their needs.
Turkey’s mercenaries take revenge on the martyrs’ families: Displacement has become one of the recurring details for Yazi and her family. This is what led her eldest son, Osama, to join people of the protection units, which is the first organization founded in NE Syria.
Osama's goal was to defend and protect his land and family from oppression and displacement. He joined the YPG with his conviction that it was an issue of honor.
Yazi received news that the mercenaries stole their belongings and destroyed her house and promised to kill Yazi and her husband because they had allowed their son to join YPG; the mercenaries were very hateful for people working for the self-administration, especially the Arab people working for the self-administration.
The mercenaries received their orders from the Turkish state using them as toys against NE Syria region.
Yazi Ahmad emphasizes that their issue is dignity issue, despite all sufferings they face, She says, “the people of NE Syria are peaceful people and we defend ourselves.”
