Pomegranate Flower Festival held in Halabja
The 8th Gula Hinar (Pomegranate Flower) Festival has been held in Halabja with the motto, “The smell of poetry comes from Halabja” for young poets.
Halabja - The 8th Gula Hinar (Pomegranate Flower) Festival has been held for young poets at the Dr. Mustafa Zelmî in Halabja by the Ministry of Education and Youth and the General Directorate of Culture and Arts with the motto, “The smell of poetry comes from Halabja”.
Participating in the festival, poet Roj stated that the festival has been held in Halabja for eight years. “Since ancient times, Halabja has been known as the garden of poetry because Halabja has been home to many great poets,” she said.
18 young poets from 18 cities and towns of Kurdistan have participated in the two-day festival.
