News Center- Parvin Bahmani, who was a teacher and musician and known as the master of lullabies, died yesterday (October 21). She had reportedly suffered from many health problems. Her voice has been enshrined in the hearts of Persian, Turkish, and Kurdish people living in Iran. Many children grew up listening to her lullabies.

Who is Parvin Bahmani?

Born in 1949, Iran, Parvin Bahmani learned music from musicians like Mohammad Hossein Kiani, Mohammad Qoli Khorshidi, Hadi Nakisa, Habibollah Gorginpour, and Hengameh Akhavan. After working with Hengameh Akhavan in Tehran, she moved to Italy. She returned to her country after living in Italy for two years.

Parvin Bahmani, the mother of two, dedicated her life to the Qashqai culture. She worked as a teacher in Shiraz, the capital of Fars Province. When she retired as a teacher, she had already collected many forgotten folk songs, poems, and lullabies.

On October 21, 2021, she passed away at the age of 73.
