Ankara- On May 8, 45-year-old Mehmet Erdoğan tortured his wife Zeynep Erdoğan (47) and his step child in Çankaya district of Ankara. Their neighbors reported the incident after seeing the tortured child, whose hands were tied behind his back, was escaping from house. A health care team was sent to the house and they determined that Zeynep had been killed with a sharp object. Zeynep was reportedly a gynecologist.

The perpetrator was arrested in Ümitköy while trying to run away.
