News Center- Zeinab Hamrang, a prominent Iranian teachers’ rights activist and retired teacher, was released from Evin prison on Monday after completing her prison sentence.

On March 12, 2023, Zeinab Hamrang was arrested in Tehran while leaving home. After 25 days of solitary confinement, she was transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison. On May 29, 2023, she was sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court on charges of “assembly and collusion against national security”.
