News Center — Israeli airstrikes on Sanaa and Al-Jawf caused widespread destruction to homes and vital facilities, including the Moral Guidance Headquarters and a Central Bank branch, as well as media institutions, resulting in heavy human and material losses.
Yemeni media reported Wednesday, September 10, that the attacks killed 35 and injured 131, causing significant damage to residential areas, particularly the Al-Tahrir neighborhood in central Sanaa, where the Moral Guidance Headquarters was targeted, along with other sites.
The attacks also injured employees at the Central Bank branch in Al-Jawf’s Al-Hazm district and struck fully civilian sites, including the offices of the newspapers “26 September” and “Al-Yemen,” causing casualties among journalists and civilians alike.
Israeli warplanes carried out more than 20 airstrikes across multiple targets, reflecting the scale and diversity of the operation, which hit both military and critical government sites. These are the latest strikes in Yemen, where Houthi forces and Israel have been exchanging air raids for over a year, as part of the ongoing conflict linked to the war in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
