News Center- The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominations for the 96th Academy Awards in 24 categories on Tuesday. “Our Uniform” directed by Yegane Moghaddam, an Iranian animator and illustrator, has been shortlisted in the Best Animated Short category for the 96th Academy Awards.

The seven-minute animation “Our Uniform” tells the story of an Iranian girl who recalls school-age memories through the wrinkles and fabrics of her old uniform.

The animation won the Grand Jury prize at Spain’s Animayo Festival and the Best Short Animation award at France’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival and as a result qualified for the 2024 Oscars.

The ceremony for the 96th Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on March 10, 2024.
