Women of Til Temir: We will organize ourselves and win the victory

“We will reach all Alawite, Druze, Kurd, Arab and Syriac women. We will not remain silent against any attacks and win the victory,” said women attending a meeting in Til Temir.

Til Temir- Kongra Star and the Women's Civil Defense Forces (HPC-JIN) held a meeting at the headquarter of the Association of Martyrs’ Families in Til Temir, a town in the Jazira Canton of North and East Syria, as part of the “Dialogues with Free Life” campaign launched to demand the physical freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.

‘Women should strengthen their struggle for the freedom of leader Öcalan’

Sena Tamir, one of the executives of Kongra Star, first spoke about the civilian vigil on the Tishreen Dam, emphasizing that the vigil on the Tishreen Dam succeeded thanks to Abdullah Öcalan’s belief in the power of the people.

“The victory gained by the revolutionary people on the Tishreen Dam exceeded the limits of the Turkish state and other states have recognized the struggle and existence of the Kurdish people. The 52-year efforts and struggle of leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) cannot be destroyed.  All Kurdish women, especially women of North and East Syria should strengthen their struggle for the physical freedom of leader Öcalan.”

‘We must answer the “What are we fighting for?” question’

Sena Tamir emphasized that their struggle inspired women all over the world and added, “Every success in North and East Syria affects the region and the world, showing that those who are strong can ensure regional unity and harmony. Women should better define their role to achieve lasting peace. Additionally, young women should organize themselves more and improve themselves in all facets of life. We must answer the ‘What are we fighting for?’ question.”

Minewer Yûsif, member of the HPC-JIN in the Jazira Canton, drew attention to the importance of the perspectives of Abdullah Öcalan and said:

“The perspectives of leader Öcalan are very important to us. His perspectives show us how we can work better and strengthen our struggle. Thanks to his perspectives, women organize themselves. We will raise awareness of women and liberate them from slavery everywhere because we know that the unity of the Kurdish people can pave the way for lasting peace.

“We will reach all Alawite, Druze, Kurd, Arab and Syriac women and organize them because we are the defenders of peace and unity, not blood and war. We will not remain silent against any attack; we will defend us against all kinds of attacks. We will never bow down to the enemy and win the victory.”
