In the statement, the women said, “On behalf of the women of Deir ez-Zur, we say that the occupation of Afrin by Turkey is a crime and this crime should be seen and recognized by the international community. Four years have passed but the international community has remained silent against this crime and no sanction has been imposed on Turkey. We, as women, promise to unite our power and struggle against the attacks of Turkey on the fourth anniversary of Turkish occupation in Turkey. We keep struggling to bring those who committed crimes against the people, women and children of Afrin to account.”
