Sulaymaniyah- Yesterday, many women gathered in front of the Forensic Medicine Institute in Sulaymaniyah. When they began to march, police stopped them. Women holding the photographs of killed women were surrounded by police.

Despite the police intervention, the women marched to the city center and shouted slogans such as, “No to femicide” and “Women, Life, Freedom”. Many politicians, intellectuals, and artists also participated in the march. Tara Hisen, Co-chair of the Freedom Movement, made a speech. Emphasizing the problems faced by women, she said that women should struggle more.
