Women will hold protests in many districts of Istanbul to protest Turkey’s withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention.

Istanbul- The reactions to Turkey’s withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention by a Presidential decree is growing.

The Campaign Group demanding the implementation of the Istanbul Convention has announced that they will take to the streets of every district of Istanbul for the Istanbul Convention and calls on all women in Istanbul to rise up against decision, “We don’t give up on the Istanbul Convention! Every day we are everywhere with our rebellion!” says the group.

Women will protest on March 24 at 18:30 at Beşiktaş Square, on March 27, they will gather in front of Kadıköy Beşiktaş pier at 15:00. Besides that, women will hold a making noise protest from their windows and balconies every night at 21:00.

Today’s protests to be held by the group are as follows:

·         Earthquake Monument in Avcılar (18:00)

·         Cengiz Topel Crossroads in Alibeyköy (18:00)

·         Kocamustafapaşa Square in Fatih (18:30)

·         Güzeltepe Square in Eyüp (18:30)

·         Ali İsmail Korkmaz Park in Atakent of Kucukcekmece (18:30)

·         Ömürtepe Square in Sarıyer (19:00)

·         Pangaltı Metro Station in Şişli (19:30)

·         Making noise protest from windows and balconies at 21:00
