Istanbul - Female university students marched and closed a Metrobus route in Istanbul to make a call for a protest to be held at Istanbul’s Taksim Square on July 1 for the Istanbul Convention.

The women closed the Altunizade Metrobus route unfurled a banner reading, “Istanbul Convention belongs to us, and we don’t give up on it! We will be at Taksim’s Tunnel on July 1.” The women often shouted slogans such as, “Istanbul Convention belongs to us, we don’t give up on it”, and “Revise your decision, implement the convention”.

The women called for participation in the protest to be held the tunnel in Istanbul’s Taksim Square on July 1.
