News Center - Women celebrated the 10th anniversary of their revolution in the cities of North and East Syria with great enthusiasm.
Qamishlo
A celebration was held at 12 March Martyrs Stadium in the city of Qamishlo. Cizre Region Democratic Autonomous Administration Executive Council Co-chair Nezira Gewriye made a speech during the celebration.
“Today, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our revolution. The aim of this revolution is to change the situation and society we live in. This revolution has achieved important gains for the Syrian people, such as democracy, freedom and coexistence in North and East Syria. This revolution is a revolution in all administrative, cultural, political and social areas. It is the beginning of the liberation of the cities and regions of northern Syria, from Kobanê to Derik and Xabur, from Manbij to Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor. It is the beginning of the establishment of the Cizre Region Autonomous Administration and all regions of North and East Syria. The revolution has guaranteed the rights of all peoples. It has been representing peoples in the local and international arena. Our revolution defeated ISIS not only militarily but also its project and idea dividing and denying the people,” she said in her speech.
Shahba
Women attending the celebration held in Shahba carried out banners and shouted slogans against the occupation of Afrin. The Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) Co-chair Zalal Jagar made a speech during the celebration.
Speaking about the tripartite meeting of Russia, Turkey and Iran in Tehran, she said, “The enemies are now planning to commit a genocide against us in Tehran. No matter how much the enemies try to destroy and kill us, we will continue to wage an incredible resistance. The enemy keeps saying it will attack and kill us by using its press outlets. But now, we are aware of what is going on around us. This time, we strengthen our organization according to the ideology and philosophy of leader Abdullah Öcalan, who keeps strengthening our will. For this reason, we say we are here no matter who wants to come here. The 21st century will be the century of getting rid of the fascist Turkish state. We will liberate the occupied cities. Even if the enemy commits massacres against us, we must show our strength to fight. Therefore, we also resist in Shahba as we resist in Afrin. We will continue to resist the occupying Turkish state. We will show them the power of the revolution. We will not allow more enemies to enter our region.”
Kobanê
While the center of the celebration for the 10th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution was Kobanê in the Euphrates Region, many delegations and groups from Raqqa, Tabka and Manbij attended the celebration.
