What had happened?

Gülistan Doku went missing on January 5, 2020, in Dersim (Tunceli) province. After discussing with her ex-boyfriend Zaynal Abarakov in front of a pastry shop, she took a bus to go to university, and then she went missing. Her family members reported her missing on January 6. They filed a criminal complaint against Zainal Abarakov, claiming that he is the chief suspect. On September 23, her mother, uncle and sister met with Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu. Even if two searches were carried out to find her, she wasn’t found.

An investigation was also opened against Zainal Abarakov's stepfather. His stepfather Engin Y., a police officer at Tunceli Police Department, was suspended from duty for sharing some documents about the case.

Gülistan Doku’s family thinks that Gülistan may have been killed by Zaynal Abarakov and demands his arrest.
