News Center - Iran Human Rights (IHR) has announced that 16-year-old Shakiba Bakhtiar was killed in Iran’s Kermanshah city yesterday (Sunday) by her father for returning home late from the bazaar.

Shakiba Bakhtiar was reportedly stabbed to death several times by her father because she went to the bazaar and returned a little late.

In Iran, there are no official statistics on the number of femicides but lawyers and sociologists say the number of femicides has increased in the country in recent years.
