News Center — The Palestinian death toll from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,454, since the start of the war in October 2023, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health in the Strip.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported in a statistical update published today, Sunday, August 30, that Gaza hospitals had dealt with 19 cases over the past 24 hours, including 5 deaths and 14 injuries.

According to the new data, the total number of deaths since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, 2025, has reached approximately 1,318, while the number of injuries during the same period has reached 4,375, with 815 Palestinian bodies recovered.

Including figures since the outbreak of the war, the number of injured has surpassed 174,000, reaching 174,486, in addition to dozens of victims still trapped under rubble or in affected areas, amid difficulties faced by ambulance and civil defense teams in reaching them.

The Ministry of Health indicates that these figures come amid what it described as continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Strip.

The repercussions of the war were not limited to human losses; large sectors of infrastructure and civilian facilities in Gaza were destroyed, with damage estimated at about 90 percent. The United Nations had estimated the reconstruction needs of the Strip at approximately $70 billion.
