A state that not only remains silent but also paves the way for the murderers and pat them on the back. We have made efforts for the truth to be revealed, for justice to be truly established. We still make efforts. For eight years, the state and the ruling party have ignored our demands and tried to cover up the massacre. For eight years, we have been seeking justice and demanding peace. We will keep struggling until this square becomes a Peace Square, until a monument is built in this square to remind us of this massacre.”
After the speeches of the presidents, co-chairs and spokespersons of the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DİSK), the Confederation of Public Workers' Unions (KESK) and the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB), people left carnations in front of the railway station.
