News Center- Pakhshan Azizi, a civil activist, humanitarian worker and political prisoner sentenced to death on July 23, 2024, and Warisha Moradi, a women’s rights defender and member of the East Kurdistan Free Women Society (KJAR) imprisoned in Evin prison for more than 14 months, have been each sentenced to six months in prison on charges of “destroying government property”.

According to local reports, two women were informed that they had been each sentenced to six months in prison on Saturday.

Warisha Moradi started a hunger strike on the World Day against the Death Penalty, annually observed on October 10, to protest the death penalty in Iran.
