After the attack, the people took to the streets to protest the attack and to be in solidarity with the people of Shengal. “Everyone who turns a blind eye is guilty”

“Today, terrorist attacks have been carried out against the people of Kurdistan and the massacres are carried out in front of the whole world,” said 65-year-old Hedle Nebo, who thinks that everyone who turns a blind eye is guilty.  She called on people of all ages to stand against the attacks and said, “If we don’t unite against these attacks, we will have to suffer the consequences. We aren’t afraid of attacks and we respond to the attacks.”

Talking about the genocide against the people of Shengal on August 3, 2014, Hedle Nebo said, “ISIS committed the genocide but not alone. We should see that the KDP played a role in the genocide; it should be brought to account. If the international community doesn’t bring to account those responsible for the attacks, there will be new attacks.”
