News Center- We Will Stop Femicide Platform (KCDP) has released its February report on the number of femicides in Turkey. At least 23 women were killed, 21 more died under suspicious circumstances in February, according to the report.

According to the report, 10 women were killed by their husbands, four by their partners, two by their ex-partners, two by their brothers, one by her son, and one by a person she knew. 16 women were killed at home, supposedly the safest places for them, three in public places, two in isolated areas, one in the workplace, and one in a field.

They were killed for decided about their lives

The excuses of men for killing women were the same again. While the excuses why 11 women were killed are unknown, 10 were killed for asking for a divorce, refusing marriage, or dating proposals. Two women were killed for economic reasons.
