News Center- Body of transwoman Miraş Güneş reported missing by her relatives has been found killed in the Bornova district of Izmir province. According to the reports, she died from a blow to the head in her empty flat.

The people living in the building called her relatives when they noticed a bad smell from her flat. Her relatives found her dead body wrapped in a blanket. They reported to the police. After an examination, it has revealed that she was killed from a blow to the head.

Police have carried out an investigation to find who killed Miraş Güneş.

51 transwomen have been reportedly killed in Turkey between 2008 and 2018. Turkey ranks first out of European countries in the killing of transwomen.
