TJA announces its program for International Women’s Day
The Free Women’s Movement (TJA) has announced its program for the International Women’s Day. According to the program, the movement will organize rallies and other activities in many cities.
Amed (Diyarbakır)- The Free Women’s Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) has announced its program for the International Women’s Day after kicking off its activities and events for IWD with the motto, “We Rise against Femicide, We March towards Freedom”.
“March 8, 2025 is a call for resistance to women's freedom,” said the movement in a writing statement on Monday, calling on all women to participate in activities, events to be organized by it.
The movement recalled the “call of the century” by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 27, 2025, and said, “As women, we vow to weave the struggle and hope with greater enthusiasm more than ever. We call on all women to take to the streets on March 8 in order to demand an equal and free life with dignity.
