“Those who killed my children are free!” says Emine Şenyaşar on 25th day of her protest
“During yesterday’s attack, they (police) dragged my son Ferit on the ground. We demanded justice everywhere and then we sat here. They kick us out from here, too. Those who killed my children are free now. We demand justice,” said Emine Şenyaşar, who has held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse for 25 days demanding justice.
Riha -On June 14, 2018, the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP Ibrahim Halil Yıldız killed Emine Şenyaşar’s husband Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar her sons Adil and Celal Şenyaşar and wounded Fadıl, Ferit, and Mehmet from the same family in the Suruç district of Urfa province. And her son Fadıl was arrested. Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse for 25 days demanding “justice”.
“We demand justice”
The hearing of the trial against Fadıl Şenyaşar has been held today by Malatya 3rd High Criminal Court. Ferit Şenyaşar has attended the hearing. Talking about the hearing of her son Fadıl Şenyaşar said, “My son is not guilty but he has been held in prison for three years. I demand his immediate release. My son has faced a 150-year prison sentence. During yesterday’s attack, they (police) dragged my son Ferit on the ground. We demanded justice everywhere and then we sat here. They kick us out from here, too. Those who killed my children are free now. We demand justice.”
