They demand “justice” for 65 days

The protest held by Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar demanding justice enters its 65th day. “Everything is obvious but there is no law and justice,” says the tweet posted by the Şenyaşar family.

Riha- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, have held a protest known as “justice vigil” demanding those responsible for killing their relatives to be tried for 65 days.

The family launched their sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse but they have kept protesting at their house in Suruç due to the full statewide lockdown imposed between April 29 and May 19.

Today, the Şenyaşar family posted a photo taken from outside of Suruç State Hospital on the day of the attack on their social media account. The family mentions the Twitter accounts of Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gül and President Erdoğan in their tweet. “It was 2018, on the eve of Eid. Place: Suruç State Hospital. Our three persons were killed. Today is the eve of Eid 2021. There is still a confidentiality order on the case file. Everything is obvious but there is no law and justice,” said the family in their tweet.
