‘The end of imperialist war policies is a must to ensure freedom’
Sanem Deniz Kural, member of the Labourist Movement Party Central Committee, commented on the recent attacks on Syria and said, “The AKP government must stop supporting jihadist groups.”

Istanbul- Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a Turkish-backed faction, started attacking Aleppo, Hama and Homs on November 27 and took control of Damascus on December 8.
Meanwhile, the attacks of Türkiye and Türkiye-backed armed groups on North and East Syria continue, sparking a reaction among left socialist groups in Türkiye while new developments have been taking place across Syria.
In an interview with NuJINHA, Sanem Deniz Kural, member of the Labourist Movement Party (Turkish: Emekçi Hareket Partisi,EHP) Central Committee, criticized the AKP government for describing the armed groups as “the true children of Aleppo”. “The AKP plans to support the armed groups in Syria to strengthen its position in Syria and become a regional power,” Sanem Deniz Kural said. “The developments in Aleppo pose a threat to the existence of the Kurdish people and other ethnic groups in Syria. The attacks on Aleppo started after NATO had a meeting with the Turkish government. This shows that Türkiye is an ally of the U.S. and Israel, the architects of the endless war in the region.”
‘The AKP must stop supporting jihadist groups’
The AKP government must stop supporting jihadist groups such as ISIS, Al-Nusra Front and the HTS, Sanem Deniz Kural stressed, saying that the recent attacks in Syria cause a new displacement wave.
“The end of imperialist war policies is a must to ensure freedom for women, children and all oppressed groups as well as all people in the Middle East. It should not be forgotten that wars and armed conflict have a devastating effect on the lives of women and girls. The dominant powers in the region act according to their own interests while the people of Syria are attacked and killed. The imperialist powers must immediately withdraw from the region so that people have a fraternal life.”
‘We will keep struggling’
The Labourist Movement Party defends full equality and full fraternity for the people in Syria, Sanem Deniz Kural indicated, adding: “We will keep struggling in a democratic way and defending the fraternity of people to end the attacks that can pave the way for new massacres in Syria.”
