Hesekê – A women's conference organized by Kongra Star and the Zenubya Women's Community has begun in Hesekê, northern and eastern Syria, with the slogan "Women's Unity  The Foundation for Building Justice and Democracy in a United and Decentralized Syria."

The conference, which included approximately 600 women, including women from coastal Syria and cities like Sweida, began with an artistic performance. Following the selection of the conference committee, Kongra Star Spokesperson Rihan Loqo will deliver the opening remarks.

Representatives of women's organizations are expected to speak sequentially. Xud Elî will speak first on behalf of the Zenubya Women's Community. Following this, one speaker will speak on behalf of Druze and one on behalf of Alawite women. Horro Sîlva Asiya will speak on behalf of the Syriac Women's Union, and Ariv Kasbiyan will speak on behalf of the Armenian Women's Assembly.

The conference will also feature a video screening depicting the stages of the women's revolution in the region, followed by discussions on political and organizational issues. In this section, Foza Yusuf, a member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) Board of Directors, the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), and Suheyl al-Sunuh will speak on behalf of the Syrian Women's Assembly. Horro Sabah will also speak on behalf of the North and East Syrian Women's Assembly, followed by Perwîn Yusuf, Co-chair of the PYD, and Kolî Cafo from the Yazidi Women's Union.

As part of the conference program, a special session will also be held where participants will present their opinions and suggestions. Participation will be possible either directly or via the Zoom application. The conference will conclude with a final declaration following a day of discussions and exchange of views.
