Tent protest in Kobanî ends
The three-day tent protest organized at the Martyr Egid Square in Kobanî as part of the “Dem Dema Azadiye (Now is the time for freedom)” protests has ended.
Kobanî- The Young Women’s Movement started a three-day tent protest at the Martyr Egid Square in Kobanî on December 19 to demand the end of isolation imposed upon the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan. Members of the organizations in Kobanî such as the members of the Kongra Star, the Assembly of Martyrs' Families, the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Euphrates Region Autonomous Administration, and political party representatives visited the tent in three days.
“We should raise the level of our protests and activities even more to break the isolation,” said Emina Cimo, a member of the Kobanî Workers’ Union.
