Support from Italy and Colombia to KJAR’s campaign against executions

Women in Italy and Colombia announce their support to the campaign launched by the KJAR against executions in Iran.

News Center-  The East Kurdistan Free Women Society (KJAR) launched the “No to executions, yes to free life” campaign on the 14th anniversary of the execution of Shirin Alam-Houli, who was executed in Evin prison on May 9, 2010, along with Farzad Kamangar, Ali Heydarian, Farhad Vakili and Mehdi Eslamian. Women in Italy and Colombia have announced their support for the campaign.

‘We are in solidarity with women’

The Women’s Coordination of Turin, an organization based in Italy’s Turin city, sent a video message to the KJAR saying, “We are in solidarity with women oppressed by the misogynist regime.”

“We demand immediate release of Sharifeh Mohammadi and Pakhshan Azizi. Who have been sentenced to death. No to execution, yes to free life. Jin, Jiyan, Azadi (Women, Life Freedom).”

Support from women of Colombia

Women of Colombia expressed their support to the campaign launched by the KJAR by holding protests in Greece, Macedonia and Italy at the beginning of August and demanded the release of labor activist Sharifeh Mohammadi and journalist Pakhshan Azizi.

Labor activist Sharifeh Mohammadi was sentenced to death on July 4, and journalist Pakhshan Azizi was sentenced to death on July 24.
