Support from Berivan Aslan to Zeynab Jalalian
Berivan Aslan, a member of Austrian parliament, has announced her support to Kurdish activist Zeynab Jalalian, who has been held in an Iranian prison for 15 years.

In her statement, she announced her support to Kurdish activist Zeynab Jalalian, who was sentenced to death by an Iranian court in 2008 and has been held in prison for 15 years.
Berivan Aslan stated that Zeynab Jalalian, who was arrested on March 11, 2008, is a political prisoner, who has been held in Iranian prison for a long time. Recalling that Zeynab Jalalian spent eight months in pre-trial detention before the trial, Berivan Aslan said, “Zeynab Jalalian was subjected to torture and harassment in pre-detention. Once, her head was hit against a wall so hard that her skull was fractured, causing internal bleeding in her brain.”
