Support center for women and children opened in Semsûr
The Support Center for Women and Children has been opened in Turuş (Kuyulu), a village of Semsûr (Adıyaman) affected by the Feb.6 earthquake.
News Center- The Development and Solidarity Association for Turuş opened the Support Center for Women and Children in Turuş (Kuyulu), a village of Semsûr (Adıyaman) affected by the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the center, Salih Yıldırım, president of the association, said that they had worked hard for 10 months to open the center and that the center aimed to support women, especially children.
“The support center will contribute to the education, social and cognitive skills of the children in the village. The children, who cannot find a space to study especially on cold winter days, will be able to study, read books and prepare for exams at the center. The center will also be a space for women to come together and find solutions to their problems. The center will provide free courses to women and children. We will also carry out different activities for women and children at the center.”
After the opening speech, the center was opened.
