Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 416th day

Emine Şenyaşar has been holding a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse to demand justice for her killed relatives for 416 days.

Riha - The sit-in protest started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in the Suruç district of Urfa province by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has entered its 416th day.

Today, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse in the morning to keep holding their sit-in protest.

“Since we started our sit-in protest, we haven’t insulted anyone. We haven’t slandered anyone. A massacre was carried out against our family by using political power. We have made this massacre heard all around the world. Our demand becomes the demand of millions. Enough, justice should be delivered,” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account by tagging the social media accounts of the Turkish Ministry of Justice and Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ.
