Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 297th day

Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have held a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 297 days.

Riha- The sit-in protest held by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in Suruç by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 297th day today.

Emine Şenyaşar: I cannot stay at home

In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar went in front of the Urfa Courthouse to demand justice for their killed relatives again. Recalling that her family members were killed and one of her sons is in prison, Emine Şenyaşar said, “I cannot stay at home. I demand justice.”

“This cause is not just our cause. It is the bleeding wound of justice in a country. #KatilNedenBöyleRahat (Why is the killer so comfortable) because the one, who carried out a massacre at the Suruç State Hospital, is still an AKP MP. All AKP members remain silent except for @aefakibaba,” read the tweet posted by the Şenyaşar family today.
