Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family continues on its 430th day
“Officeholders may change, our struggle is for justice and it will never change,” the Şenyaşar family says on the 430th day of their sit-in protest.
Riha - The sit-in protest started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in the Suruç district of Urfa province by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has entered its 430th day.
Today, Emine Şenyaşar went to Elazığ province to visit her son Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been held in prison for about four years. Her son Ferit Şenyaşar has been holding the sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse to demand justice again.
The family tweeted about the dismissal of Urfa Governor Abdullah Erin from his post. “Our struggle for justice in front of the Şanlıurfa Courthouse continues on its 430th day. Officeholders may change, our struggle is for justice and it will never change,” the tweet says.
