Sit-in protest for “justice” enters its 79th day

“My son has been held in prison. Those who killed my family walk freely. They destroyed my family,” said Emine Şenyaşar, who has held a sit-in protest with her son Ferit Şenyaşar demanding justice for their killed relatives in front of Urfa Courthouse for 79 days.

Riha – Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, have held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 79 days. Today, Emine Şenyaşar’s son Fadıl Şenyaşar called his mother from Elazığ Prison.

“They have held my son in solitary confinement for three years. What can he tell? He told me, ‘Mother, I keep living for you.’ They killed my family. My son is in prison. Those who killed my family walk freely. They destroyed my family,” Emine Şenyaşar said.

Savur Municipality elected co-mayors Gülistan Öncü and Mahsum Denktaş, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Artuklu district members visited the Şenyaşar family today.
