Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 651st day. Today, the Şenyaşar family hung their banner reading, “Justice” on their private car to demand justice. The family learned that they received a parking ticket last week. Making a statement about the parking ticket, the Şenyaşar family said that they were subjected to double standards by the judiciary and that they would file a criminal complaint.

‘We reject the double standards’

Today, the Şenyaşar family posted a tweet saying, “People can park their vehicles and horse-drawn carriages in this area. But parking a car by hanging a banner reading justice on it is forbidden. If there is a law and ban, they should be implemented against everyone. We reject the double standard! Our sit-in protest for justice is on its 651st day…”
