Sit-in protest for justice enters its 414th day

“They killed my two sons and husband. I want to go home with my son, who has been held in prison for four years, and mourn,” Emine Şenyaşar says on the 414th day of their sit-in protest.

Riha - The sit-in protest started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in the Suruç district of Urfa province by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has continued on its 414th day.

On the 414th day of their sit-in protest, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse from their home in the district of Suruç in the morning and started holding their protest by sitting on the stairs of the courthouse. They are giving information about their sit-in protest to the people and lawyers entering the courthouse.

“Mother Emine: A legal step has been taken about our case. Both the state and the government have accepted that my children are innocent. They killed my two sons and husband. I want to go home with my son, who has been held in prison for four years, and mourn,” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account by tagging the social media accounts of the Turkish Ministry of Justice and Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ.
